This Dialog lets you specify the behavior of m3w when it gets started. You may wonder why it should make sense to specify this information after m3w has already started. Answer: It makes sense only if you store the current settings in a configuration file (see Parameters and Configuration). The next time you start m3w with these stored settings, you will see the desired effect.
The following five flags will allow you to automate the process of starting and running m3w. They are intended to be stored in a configuration file. Once you have an appropriate configuration file, you can start m3w simply by a double click on the configuration file and have it up and running without the need for further interaction. You can also create a shortcut to m3w inside the Autostart folder. Supply this shortcut with a suitable configuration file, either by using the -f option or by modifying the default configuration in the folder where m3w is installed, and you have a running m3w each time you start your computer. (Real programmers might also use the autoexec.bat file to start m3w.)
The check-boxes serve the following purpose:
-x
option. When m3w is started with this option, no
window will appear on the screen, but only an entry in the taskbar is
created. You might later click in the taskbar to get a full sized
window. Use this option, when you start m3w from a startup script and
do not want to bother the user too much, since you have taken care of
starting the appropriate services with one or more of the options that
follow below.
-r
option (see Parameters and Configuration).
-I
option (see Parameters and Configuration).
