Output File

The first line gives the selected filename to which the mp3 data is written. This filename can be set and changed with the Output File dialog from the Options menu. This dialog is invoked automatically if the Record button is pressed and so far no file has been specified.

The check boxes below control how data is written. If the append box is checked, data is appended to the end of the file; if not, each time the recording is started by pressing the Record button, the output file is reset to be empty, and recording data is added at the beginning of the file. If the autoname box is checked, each time the recording is started by pressing the Record button, a new filename is generated in the format yyyy-mm-dd-hh-mm-ss.mp3 and data is written to this file.

The third line gives a summary of the number of bytes written to the file either now or during previous recordings to the same file.

The two button at the bottom are the Record button and the Stop button.
